When the No. 11 Texas Longhorns square off with the No. 4 Alabama Crimson Tide, the whole world will be watching and a special guest will be making the trip there.

Former Indianapolis Colts punter Pat McAfee announced Monday he will be heading to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, where he will host a live episode of "The Pat McAfee Show" on the Crimson Tide's campus Sept. 8. McAfee will then host a simultaneous broadcast on ESPN2 on the field during the game at Bryant-Denny Stadium Sept. 9.

"The first show that we will have live on a campus on a Friday," McAfee said. "Our first simulcast is going to be that Texas-Alabama game week 2 down there in Alabama."

Not only that, but it appears College Game Day may be on their way to Tuscaloosa as well.

ESPN's Kirk Herbstreit was on the show when McAfee made the announcement and didn't officially announce anything but said there's "a decent chance" that "College Gameday" will head to Alabama when it hosts the Longhorns in week 2.

"It's a fairly big game," Herbstreit said. "I would think 'Gameday' would end up there."

The Texas-Alabama rematch is scheduled to kick off at 6 p.m. CT with the main broadcast airing on ESPN.
