“I definitely was not getting Wife of the Year Awards,” Union revealed. “In our first marriage, neither one of us felt like the marriage should get in the way of our dating.”

Amid all the issues they had, Union and Howard started seeing other people and somehow made it a competition on who could get more affairs than the other.

“I was paying all the bills, I was working my ass off and I felt like that’s what comes [with it],” the actress said.

“I was like, Oh, that’s what you’re doing?” Union explained of her back-and-forth cheating strategy with Howard. “You’re gonna feel this one.” She eventually came to understand that she was internally missing something within herself and became “horny for validation and having certain kinds of guys like me and want me.” Union added, “[I wanted to] feel like I was worthy and good and valuable and deserving.”

They learned a big lesson during their marriage, but Union is happy things turned that way. Eventually, he found Dwyane Wade, and the Miami Heat legend tied the knot with her. Things have been great for them now, and whenever we see them, the Wades are having a blast.

It wasn't an easy path for either of them, but now they're happy with their big family and ready to keep spreading love around the world.
