Florida vies to flip one of the nation's premier offensive line talents from an in-state rival.

Gators offensive lineman target and current Florida State commit Solomon Thomas is planning to stop into Gainesville for a two-day stay, visiting the University of Florida on April 5-6.

His spring visit tour also includes treks to South Carolina (March 19), LSU (March 23) and Miami (April 12-13), according to Rivals.

Hailing from Raines High School in Jacksonville, Fla., Thomas, standing 6-foot-4, 315 pounds with impressive athleticism and strength at the point of attack, has garnered considerable buzz as one of the top interior offensive line prospects the 2025 class offers.

Several top programs have treated him accordingly since his sophomore season of high school, when he began to reel in Power Five offers.

Florida became the fourth school to join the mix on June 23, 2022, recognizing the high-floor, high-ceiling offensive trenchman who resides just two hours from campus. Since then, he's visited UF more than any other school, taking four trips to Gainesville since the day of his offer in an effort to build a connection with Gators offensive line coach Rob Sale and other applicable staffers.

The No. 1 iOL and No. 13 overall player in the cycle, per 247Sports Composite, will not get an opportunity to meet face-to-face with Sale's new counterpart, Jonathan DeCoster, as he determines the best fit for his services come 2025 Early Signing Day.

Thomas hasn't expressed much interest in distancing himself from the pledge he made to Florida State in December. However, as he examines his options during the remainder of the 2025 recruiting class, Florida will be at the forefront of teams vying to pluck him away from the Noles.

His upcoming trip to UF presents the Gators a valuable opportunity to continue forming a strong rapport with the Jacksonville, Fla., product.
