Bangladesh are optimistic about a comeback in ICC World Cup 2023 after a poor start saw them lose five games in their campaign. Bangladesh’s qualification for the 2025 Champions Trophy is at stake as the ICC announced that the top seven sides at the end of the league stage will make the cut for the tournament along with hosts Pakistan.

Bangladesh are currently placed ninth in the league table and are taking on Pakistan in their ongoing game at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata before facing Sri Lanka and Australia. The talismanic skipper added that every individual in the side will need to make their own plans to find their element and only then they can display collective results which he feels is currently needed for them to overcome the lean patch.

Bangladesh Cricket Board president Nazmul Hassan held multiple meetings with the Asian Tigers after their crushing loss to Netherlands as it pretty much extinguished their hopes of making it to the semifinal of the marquee event.
