These days when it comes to recruiting in college sports even if you are unable to land a recruit coming out of high school, the door is never completely shut on that relationship.

Something that Texas may be able to prove when it comes to the college basketball transfer portal cycle. Over the past couple of days, names have been flooding into the transfer portal, but there is one former five-star in particular that should stand out to Texas fans.

Former five-star recruit and son of NBA All-Star Peja Stojakovic, Andrej Stojakovic, has entered the portal after a year at Stanford.

The decision comes after Stanford head coach Jerod Haase was fired following their second-round Pac-12 Tournament loss last week. According to 247Sports, Stojakovic is ranked as the No. 2 transfer in the portal.

He chose Stanford over programs like UCLA, Oregon, and of course Texas, but now that he is back on the market, the Longhorns have a chance to add the skilled wing. In his lone season in Palo Alto, Stojakovic didn't have eye-popping numbers due to the fact Stanford had so many veteran wings, but he did have bright moments.

He averaged nearly eight points per game and three rebounds on 40.9% shooting from the field and 32% from the three in 32 total games played, which saw him start 10 times. He will likely be looking for an opportunity to have a bigger role, and play in an offense that is more fluid and stable than Stanford's this past year.

There haven't been any reports on who he is looking at and who has contacted the California native, but it is a name to watch for Texas.
