CFL free agency continues throughout the month of March. With it, more former Group of Five standouts are getting the chance to extend their professional careers.

The latest to be added to a CFL roster is former Tulane linebacker Nick Anderson. Anderson was signed by the Edmonton Elks on Monday.

Anderson transferred to Tulane from Jones College after the 2018 season. In four seasons with the Green Wave, he appeared in 50 games and made 283 tackles with 10.5 sacks. He was an All-AAC Second Team selection for the 2022 season.

Anderson signed with the New Orleans Saints prior to the 2023 NFL season. The Saints waived Anderson last August in their final round of roster cuts prior to the beginning of the regular season.

The Edmonton Elks finished the regular season with a record of 4-14.

CFL training camps for the upcoming season are set to open on Sunday, May 14, 2024.
