CHICAGO - MARCH 12: Kammron Taylor #23 of the Wisconsin Badgers puts defensive pressure on Jeff Horner #2 of the Iowa Hawkeyes during the semifinals on the third day of the Big Ten Men's Conference Basketball Tournament March 12, 2005 at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. Kammron Taylor (left); Chris Rock (right). Clearly the same person Former Wisconsin Badger, Chris Rock look alike, and well traveled Euro-baller Kammron Taylor has been invited to Celtics training camp according to RealGM. Taylor, who is 29 years old, is a 6'2" guard who played for the Badgers from 2003-2007 before embarking on quite a basketball journey. Since leaving Wisconsin, Taylor has played in the following leagues: 2007-08: Spain - averaged 15 PPG, 2 RPG, 2 APG, shot 47% from the field, 38% 3 PT. 2008-09: Split season between Turkey and Spain - averaged 18 PPG, 2 RPG, 3 APG (46%/35%) in Spain; 11 PPG, 2 RPG, 2 APG (38%/33%) in Turkey. 2009-10: Split season between France and Hungary - averaged 13 PPG, 2 RPG, 3 APG (37%/38%) in France; 21 PPG, 2 RPG, 2 APG (53%/33%) in Hungary 2010-11: Drafted by NBDL's Iowa Energy but doesn't play, instead plays in Cyprus, averaging 16 PPG, 5 RPG, 2 APG. 2011-12: Appears that he played in Columbia (no stats available), Venezuela (ditto) and then Ukraine, where he averaged 14 PPG, 4 RPG, 2 APG (38%/40%) Summer 2012: Timberwolves summer league team - averaged 10 PPG, 3 RPG, 2 APG 2012-13: Germany - averaged 13 PPG, 2 RPG, 3 APG (43%/30%) Now that's a journeyman. Taking a look at Taylor's stats, he appears to be more of a shooting guard than a point guard, never averaging more than 3 APG in Europe, and averaging only 1.8 APG during his time at Wisconsin. Considering he's only 6'2" he profiles as a small 2-gaurd who isn't a particularly great shooter. This is a problem. When you also consider that the Celtics currently have all of the shooting guards in the world (rough estimate), Taylor seems like the longest of long shots to actually make the team. More likely, he's a training camp body. Destined to join the likes of Dionte Christmas, Micah Downs and Rob Kurz as Celtics legends who never even gain eligibility for WTHHT.
