The Milwaukee Bucks earned their seventh victory of the season. They did so with a 109-102 win over the Los Angeles Lakers. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the way for the Bucks. He scored 47 points on 18 of 23 shooting from the field. He also hit three of four from behind the three-point line. He grabbed nine rebounds and dished out three assists as well. This was his highest point total since the game 6 NBA Finals clinching victory against the Phoenix Suns. Antetokounmpo explained his mindset postgame.

“I wanted to be the aggressor out there,” Antetokounmpo said. “I wanted to initiate the contact, get in the paint, make the right play and just play with an edge out there.”

Khris Middleton returned to the lineup after missing eight games due to COVID. Middleton scored 16 points on 4 of 12 shooting from the field. He knocked down two of six from the three-point stripe. He also grabbed five rebounds and dished out six assists. Middleton also reached a major milestone during the game. He tied Ray Allen for first all-time in Bucks history with 1,051 made threes with the franchise. This is a major milestone and Coach Mike Budenholzer summed up how big of a deal this is postgame.

“That’s a very, very special place to be,” Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer said. “I think we all just admire what Khris does every night, his ability to shoot, the different ways he gets 3’s and his kind of consistency and longevity here.”
