The Minnesota Golden Gophers have advanced to the “FAB 4” of the WNIT with a 65-54 win over Wyoming Monday night.

Minnesota will now face Troy in WNIT semifinals while Saint Louis and Vermont meet on the other side of the bracket. Vermont beat Purdue and Saint Louis knocked out Wisconsin on Monday night, leaving Minnesota as the last Big Ten team standing in the WNIT.

Minnesota will play at Troy (in Alabama) at 5 p.m. CT Wednesday. The winner will advance to the April 6 WNIT championship game.

The Gophers were led by 29 points from Amaya Battle.

Minnesota led by 10 points after the first quarter before Wyoming clawed back to tie the game after three quarters, at which point the Gophers took over and outscored Wyoming 25-14 in the final 10 minutes.
