Tight end Thaddeus Moss has been on quite the professional football journey from the NFL to the USFL. Moss added the CFL to his resume on Thursday, signing with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats according to 3DownNation’s Justin Dunk. He is the son of Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receiver Randy Moss.

The younger Moss spent the 2023 season with the Birmingham Stallions of the USFL, posting three receptions for 38 yards and one touchdown in eight games. Moss played a part in the Stallions winning their second consecutive USFL title.

After going unselected in the 2020 NFL Draft, Moss signed with the Washington Football Team and spent the year on injured reserve. He joined the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2021 offseason and was either on the practice squad or dealing with an injury before he was waived in training camp during the 2022 season.

Moss played with NC State his freshman year in 2016 before transferring to the LSU Tigers for the next three seasons. In 2019, he caught 47 passes for 570 yards and four touchdowns, helping the Tigers win the National Championship. Two of those four touchdowns came in the national title game.

Hamilton doesn’t have any tight ends on the roster, which would lead many to believe Moss will move to wide receiver. There are 14 other receivers he will have to compete with for a roster spot.

The Tiger-Cats have been busy in free agency, with six players signing with the team, including three former Toronto Argonauts.
