Two HBCU women's basketball stars, G Ayana Emmanuel (Alabama State) and C Jazmin Harris (NC A&T) have declared for the 2023 NBA Draft on Apr. 10, according to Alexa Phillippou of ESPN.

AYANA EMMANUEL - ALABAMA STATE

The Hornets' 2022-23 SWAC Player of the Year, Ayana Emmanuel, officially declared for this year's draft after scoring 505 total points for a 16.8 PPG average in 2023. Emmanuel accounted for 75 assists, 52 steals, 96 rebounds, and made 163-of-197 (82.7%) free throws on the season.

The fifth-year guard amassed 2000 career points in her college career while creating 188 steals, and 272 assists, hauling in 575 rebounds, and bucketing 587-of-742 free throws (79.1%).

JAZMIN HARRIS - NC A&T

The Aggies 6-3 center, Jazmin Harris, was an All-CAA second-team performer this season. A&T head coach Robinson called Harris the team's "most consistent offensive threat" in 2022-23.

The 6-3 center scored in double figures through the first three conference and nine total games of the season. Jazmin scored 383 total points averaging 13.2 points per game in 2022-23. Harris had 42 blocked shots, 13 steals, 25 assists, and 212 rebounds while shooting 59-of-77 from the charity line.

Harris, a graduate student, worked well within the paint and delivered a nice mid-range shot when necessary. She totaled 736 points, averaging 13.1 points per game, with 377 total rebounds, 53 assists, 75 blocked shots, 22 steals, and notched 112-of-156 (71.8%) free throws.

The 2023 WNBA Draft will begin at 7 PM ET at Spring Studios in New York City on Apr. 10. ESPN holds the rights to broadcast the event.
