Many Tottenham fans were impressed by the performance of Eric Dier against Leeds United.

The defender is arguably the most criticised player at Spurs, but he earned a lot of praise this weekend.

The Englishman is almost always the first choice at the club when a new manager arrives.

But when things go wrong in a game, it’s easy for Dier to be blamed.

He hasn’t covered himself in glory all the time, because he occasionally makes ridiculous errors.

However, he was arguably the best Tottenham defender on the pitch against Leeds.

Following the 2-1 comeback win against the Whites, some fans believe that was the best performance he has delivered for the club.

The Lilywhites posted an image of some of his stats from the game on Twitter and fans filled the comments with reactions. Here are a few.

Dier will play an important role under Antonio Conte. With more performances of that quality, he could be in the team for a very long time.
