Indiana Pacers news: The city of Indianapolis is in Cloud 9 right now after the Indiana Fever officially scooped up Caitlin Clark as the No. 1 overall pick of Monday’s 2024 WNBA Draft. After a historic college career with the Iowa Hawkeyes, the 22-year-old is now set to embark on her professional career — a notion that has the fans all fired up.

As it turns out, this includes Pacers superstar Tyrese Haliburton.

Indiana Pacers News: Tyrese Haliburton Sends Message for Caitlin Clark

Much like the rest of the basketball world, Haliburton also had his attention tuned in to Monday’s draft. As soon as Clark was officially announced as the Fever’s first-overall selection, Haliburton just had to take to Twitter to share his reaction to this momentous occasion:

Haliburton is clearly delighted with Clark ending up in Indiana. They might play in two entirely different leagues, but given how they are currently two of the most popular sports personalities in the city, it’s only a matter of time before their paths cross, if they haven’t already.

There’s a new era in the WNBA, with Clark leading the way. The 22-year-old is expected to take the league by storm, just like how she revolutionized women’s basketball during her time in Iowa.

Haliburton, much like the rest of us, just can’t wait to get this all started.
