Chicago White Sox third baseman and former first-round draft pick Jake Burger is launching a new project. Jake Burger B.O.M.B.S., a mental health awareness initiative that he will be turning into an online community as well as putting out a series of content over multiple mediums, is coming soon at jakeburger30.com.

Burger, who made the announcement via his Twitter on Jan. 12, recently joined On Tap Sports Net‘s Sox On Tap podcast to talk more about the project. You can watch his announcement here.

The first-round draft pick out of Missouri State University has been open about his mental health struggles. In another Twitter post from March 17, 2020, Burger reached out to his followers on the platform letting them know of his battles and offering to lend an ear to anyone in need.
