Former Italy and Juventus midfielder Marco Tardelli admits Inter have already won the Serie A title and is impressed by their reaction to the Champions League exit.

Italy 1982 World Cup winner Marco Tardelli admits Inter have already won the Serie A title even if the Nerazzurri still don’t have mathematical certainty.

“They already won it because they’ve gone beyond the results, which speak for themselves. They proved impressive mental balance. The Champions League exit could have affected them, but they reacted appropriately,” the former midfielder told Gazzetta.

On the other hand, Tardelli, a former Juventus and Inter midfielder, is pretty disappointed by the Bianconeri’s latest results.

“It’s hard to justify such a poor run, but players must give their best and show personality in these moments.”

Tardelli played 300 games in Serie A with Juventus and Inter, winning the Scudetto five times, all with the Bianconeri. He played 379 games with Juventus and 71 with Inter. His trophies in Turin include a UEFA Cup, a Champions League, a UEFA Supercup and a UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup.

He won the 1982 World Cup with Italy, scoring an epic goal in the Final played against West Germany at the Estadio Bernabeu in Madrid. Tardelli made 81 international appearances with the Azzurri, scoring six goals.
