Former Murray State guard Ja Morant was a sensation this past college basketball season.

It’s likely going to lead to the point guard being the No. 2 overall pick of the Memphis Grizzlies in next month’s NBA draft.

Morant should be excited about heading to Memphis. After all, his most recent take on the ideal starting lineup around the NBA would’ve led to a rather awkward situation with LeBron James in Los Angeles.

In talking with the venerable Taylor Rooks on Bleacher Report’s "Take It There," Morant left King James out of his top five.

Instead, the star guard’s lineup would include himself, Paul George, Kevin Durant, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Anthony Davis.

Durant over James is sure to spark some debate. Recency bias tells us that Durant, the two-time reigning NBA Finals MVP, is the planet’s best player.

Even then, James has held that mantle for well over the past decade. Does he give it up simply because of an injury-plagued 2018-19 season? We’re not too sure.

Though, we do know where Mr. Morant stands on the debate.
