Just before the start of last season, Milan secured Diogo Dalot on a season-long loan from Man Utd. the Portuguese international did well and the Rossoneri would like to bring him back, as has been widely reported.

According to Alessandro Jacobone, Milan are insisting on bringing back Dalot and that is because Stefano Pioli has requested the signing. The manager found a player he could count on this past season and would like to have him back.

The Rossoneri still have Andrea Conti and Pierre Kalulu in the squad and are, therefore, much more willing to wait it out in the negotiations with Man Utd. Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara will pounce as soon as they see an opening from the English side.

It remains to be seen if they will succeed with their tactic, but it’s clear that Pioli wants a right-back before the start of the season. Pierre Kalulu is expected to stay, but he has also been used as a centre-back.
