The 2023 NFL season has reached the final stage. Only two teams are remaining in contention for the Super Bowl title. The rest of the teams are now in off-season mode trying to address their needs in free agency and Draft. Amidst this situation, the Los Angeles Chargers‘ new head coach Jim Harbaugh speculates the Michigan Wolverines QB J.J. McCarthy might get drafted ahead of Caleb Williams.

During his recent appearance at The Herd with Colin Cowherd show, the former Wolverines head coach made a bold claim that McCarthy could be the first QB to come off the board over the likes of USC QB Caleb Williams and UNC QB Drake Maye.

Arm talent, athleticism, ‘it’ factor, winning with numbing repetition. Don’t be surprised when he — if/when he goes to — he’s the No. 1 quarterback off the board. That’s my prediction right now. Jim Harbaugh said on the Colin Cowherd show

Furthermore, the talented head coach went on to talk about J.J. McCarthy’s physical and mental traits that distinguish him and place him above the other quarterback prospects.

When people get a load of J.J., and how he can throw the ball, how he spins it, his athleticism, his intelligence. Talk about ‘it’ factor. He’s got it. The competitiveness that he has. And they get around him, and they really start digging in, and they start talking to him. Jim Harbaugh said

J.J. McCarthy was Harbaugh’s quarterback when the head coach led the Michigan Wolverines team to their first college football championship in the playoffs era. So, of course, he is going to hype up his quarterback.

However, it is highly unlikely that teams will draft McCarthy over Williams, who is considered the best QB prospect since Andrew Luck. As for Harbaugh, he doesn’t have to worry about which quarterback his team should be looking into since they already have Justin Herbert, one of the best QBs in the league.

Jim Harbaugh wants to win multiple championships with Chargers

After firing Brandon Staley in the middle of the season, the Chargers roped in veteran leader Jim Harbaugh to replace him as their new head coach.

On Thursday, Harbaugh was introduced as their HC by the Los Angeles-based football team. During the introductory press conference, Harbaugh revealed that his goal is to bring multiple championships to the team.

Multiple championships. We're going to be humble and hungry, but that's our goal. Jim Harbaugh said on Thursday

This is Harbaugh’s second run in the NFL. He previously worked as the head coach of the San Francisco 49ers for a few years, but he couldn’t win a Super Bowl ring then. Now, he aims to deliver multiple championships to the city of Los Angeles.
