The Boston Celtics are reuniting with a known face, according to recent reports. Joe Johnson is finally making his desired NBA comeback after agreeing on terms with the 17-time NBA champions.

Johnson, one of the most electrifying offensive players during his prime, tried to make a comeback to the league, even signing with the Detroit Pistons ahead of the 2019/20 NBA season. He was waived by Detroit, seemingly ending his dream of returning to the association.

Well, that has changed now, as the player is coming back to the league after signing with the Boston Celtics, the team that originally drafted him. According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the player is signing a 10-day contract.

Free agent guard Joe Johnson is signing a 10-day deal with the Boston Celtics, sources tell ESPN. Johnson is returning to the franchise that drafted him 20 years ago and is expected to play tonight vs. Cleveland.

Johnson lived his best moments on the Atlanta Hawks, becoming a fan-favorite there. After he joined the Brooklyn Nets, his level decreased, which ended up in him leaving the league in 2018. He attempted to make a return and the Pistons initially trusted him, but that tenure didn't last past the team's media day.

Now ISO Joe is back and ready to contribute to the struggling Boston Celtics. The swingman is 40 years old but will try to show he can still be good in the association. As Woj said, Johnson will make his debut tonight, hoping to help the C's get past the Cavaliers.
