Randy Orton might be off WWE programming right now with a back injury, but The Viper certainly isn’t forgotten by his fans.

Orton last appeared on WWE programming on May 20 during an episode of SmackDown when he and his RK-Bro tag team partner Riddle dropped the RAW World Tag Team Titles to The Usos. Following the match, The Viper was attacked by The Bloodline and left him lying to write him off television due to a severe back injury.

Riddle would go on to confirm the injury on a recent episode of SmackDown and said that Orton would be undergoing surgery soon. Reports have stated if Orton has this surgery, it will sideline him for the rest of the year.

Last night in the 9th inning of an MLB game between the Phillies and the Nationals, commentator John Kruk, a former MLB All-Star and Phillies player, began to sing Orton’s theme song on commentary during the blowout, obviously having fun in the closing minutes of the game.

Kruk even admitted to it being Orton’s theme, referring to it as “The Viper Randy Orton’s walkout music.”

You can check out the clip in the embedded tweet below.

What do you think of Jon Kruk singing and acknowledging Randy Orton’s theme during an MLB baseball game? Do things like this help professional wrestling crossover into the sports world? Let us know your thoughts by sounding off in the comments section below.
