Several sports media personalities have come to the defense of ESPN’s Jemele Hill in the wake of the network announcing that she has been suspended for two weeks, and one did so by way of a direct response to Donald Trump.
Josina Anderson, who also works for ESPN, took aim at Trump on Twitter Tuesday morning, telling the president to “stop attacking” Hill and other journalists.
Hill was suspended on Monday after she sent some tweets suggesting she disagreed with Jerry Jones’s stance on national anthem protests, telling people they could boycott companies who advertise with the Dallas Cowboys. She also found herself in the middle of some controversy last month when she called Trump a white supremacist.
Of course, Trump unloaded on Hill weeks ago and will have no problem continuing to do so — no matter what Anderson or anyone else thinks about it.
