According to his Instagram page and story, Kevin Costner has located and fully embraced a new love. A Labrador puppy that is—named Bobby. The social media post quoted, "Bobby being a big help with the dishes."

Introducing his new family member just weeks after adopting him. On Feb. 1, the star quoted, "Newest addition to the family.  I'm already in love with this special guy."

While Costner might play rough and grouchy characters on screen, such as John Dutton in "Yellowstone," but in real life, Costner has been an advocate for animals for a long time.

In 2010 Costner worked with The Orange Dog to help rescue animals from shelters that were overcrowded and would ultimately lead to the dogs being euthanized. In total, Costner helped save over 160 dogs on two different trips.  Costner didn't take on the task on his own. He received media attention for also including his then beautiful white lab named Daisy. She accompanied him on the flights from California to Edmonton, Canada.

In an interview with AARP in 2019, Costner reflected on another of his pets, Wyatt, "You know, there's one that's a dog of a lifetime. And we all know that we love the ones in between.  But there's one special one, and you're going to cry like a little baby when he's gone."

While talking about his movie "The Art of Racing in the Rain," Costner lovingly said, "I think every dog owner swears that 'My dog talks."

While Costner has faced turbulent waters in his love of recent, it appears that the actor's heart has been melted by his new four-legged buddy, Bobby.
