The Nashville Predators moved to 3-3 on the season with their win Saturday night over the San Jose Sharks who fall to 0-4-1 after losing to the Predators by a score of 5-1. There were a lot of milestones to mark for Nashville as Sherwood and Luke Evangelista each scored their first goals of the season. Samuel Fagemo played his first game as a Predator and scored his first goal on the power play in the first period while Tommy Novak doubled his goals for the season with two scores.

Sherwood and the Predators came out in the second period with more energy after a lackluster first period that relied heavily on Juuse Saros. Sherwood assisted on Tommy Novak's goal at 2:06, and then Sherwood found the back of the net himself with a shot from the circle past Mackenzie Blackwood to give Nashville two quick goals. The game turned chippy midway through the second, and Sherwood dropped the gloves with former Predator Luke Kunin for a brief dust up before they each served their five minute fighting penalties.

Sherwood is a player who brings a lot of energy to the team, and his performance in the second period helped propel the team in their 5-1 win. The Predators will take on the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday night at Bridgestone Arena.
