Kurt Angle is again discussing dream scenarios for one more match.

Kurt Angle has not wrestled since losing to Baron Corbin at WrestleMania 35 in 2019. However, Angle has never been shy about disgusting what one more match would look like for him. Kurt has openly discussed on recent episodes of his podcast, the Kurt Angle Show, that he believes he would need to work with someone who could carry him through a match as the wear and tear on his body would not allow him to perform the way he used to.

One of Kurt Angle’s favorite opponents that he believes can make anyone look is AJ Styles. The latest episode of The Kurt Angle Show covers the main event of TNA Lockdown 2008, an event that saw Samoa Joe capture the TNA World Heavyweight Championship from the WWE Hall of Famer.

During that episode, Kurt talked about AJ Styles’ abilities and mentioned once again that if he could have another match, Styles would be his personal choice for an opponent.

“They were my boys. They were part of my gang at the time. AJ & Tomko did a phenomenal job, especially AJ. I will tell you this, AJ could do something like this as well,” said Angle of the match-style that he had with Samoa Joe. “[AJ] was a state champion wrestler, and he knows how to grapple. If I ever had to do another match, I would definitely do one with AJ.”

This is not the first time Kurt Angle has mentioned AJ Styles as a particular opponent that he believes he could get another match out of. In the past, Angle named AJ Styles and Seth Rollins as competitors he would like in a hypothetical tag team match that would also feature himself and Stone Cold Steve Austin.
