The Atlanta Falcons made a bold move to draft tight end Kyle Pitts at No. 4 overall this past year.
It was the earliest a tight end has ever gone in the NFL Draft and the Falcons have needs all over the field.
Some fans may have doubted Pitts after a slow start, but he is heating up as of late as the Falcons are now 3-3 on the year.
The rookie had 163 yards in Sunday’s win over Miami to mark his second-straight game up over 100 yards.
One more specific stat also points toward how reliable he is for Matt Ryan.
Pitts just doesn’t drop passes.
He has not dropped a pass since 2019 and after seeing him make one-handed grabs this year, the streak may go on for years.

Just Getting Started
Pitts just turned 21 years old at the start of October.
And listed at 6-foot-6, 245 pounds, he may not even be done growing.
The young man is an athletic force and looks more like a giant wide receiver than a traditional tight end.
For reference, he stands one inch taller than Calvin Johnson.
Pitts starting to improve is directly coinciding with the Falcons jumping right back into the NFC playoff race.
The team pulled off a comeback against the Dolphins and Pitts was a huge reason for the win.
Some fans in Atlanta may have panicked after the team got rid of Julio Jones.
Was this the start of a rebuild and the end of the Ryan era?
The answer to that seems to be “no” as long as the rookie tight end has something to say about it.
He received eight targets Sunday and hauled in seven.
If he is this reliable with so little NFL experience, the Falcons offense will not slow down at all for a long time.
