With your Los Angeles Lakers tipping off against the Denver Nuggets in just a couple of days, the team's final roster appears to have been determined.

Recent signing and 2021 Summer League MVP Louis King has been cut, while Quinndary Weatherspoon has been signed.

King lasted all of 48 hours, while Weatherspoon, who was playing in China up until the signing, has joined the fray.

A 6-foot-3, 205-pound guard, Weatherspoon plays the two and has championship pedigree having been a member of the 2022 Golden State Warriors.

Weatherspoon played his college ball for four years at Mississippi State, where he was 1x First-Team All-Conference and 2x Second-Team All-Conference (SEC).

He's also a two-time recipient of the Howell Trophy, which is given to the best college basketball player in the state of Mississippi annually.

Weatherspoon has never averaged more than 7.1 minutes per game at the NBA level, but assessing his college stats, he averaged an impressive 18.5 points per game and 1.7 steals per game on 50.8/39.6/80.9 shooting splits his senior year.

Given those numbers and his frame, he should have the potential to be a contributing member on both sides of the ball, potentially as a 3&D wing if the opportunity arose.

Being buried in a deep guard rotation, however, we're not sure how much of him we'll see, absent a series of injuries.

Weatherspoon is 27, and is entering his 5th year of professional basketball, giving him a lot of experience as both a champion with the Warriors, and as a member of a good culture and organization in the Spurs, who first drafted him in the 2nd round of the 2019 draft.

This roster move likely won't be particularly impactful for the Lakeshow, but we can hope it is.
