AUSTIN -- Texas Longhorns women’s basketball is dancing one again under coach Vic Schaefer.

Texas earned the No. 1 seed in the Portland 4 Region of the NCAA Tournament when the bracket was revealed Sunday night. The Longhorns will play No. 16 Drexel in the first round.

The last time the Longhorns were the No. 1 seed was in the 2003-04 tournament, but Texas lost in the Sweet 16 that year. However, the 'Horns have now made it to four straight NCAA Tournament since Schaefer was hired in 2020. Texas has never been lower than a No. 6 seed in that span.
