Liverpool yesterday evening confirmed that highly-rated left-back Luke Chambers has completed his season-long loan switch to Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premier League.

Chambers has spent time with Jurgen Klopp's first team in the pre-season, and also travelled with the side for the winter warm weather training camp in Dubai during the World Cup, and when featuring for the side has heavily impressed.

Chambers has been a stalwart of Barry Lewtas U21 side this season, with several impressive displays not only in the domestic campaign but also in the Uefa Youth League currently sitting fourth in the side's top scorers in the competition with two goals.

Chambers joined Liverpool’s Academy at the age of six and will continue his development until the end of the season in Scotland's highest tier.

The move with no doubt provide a huge blow for Lewtas U21 setup who currently sit fifth in the Premier League 2 just six points of league leaders Manchester City, and also will progress in the Uefa Youth League as group winners winning five out of their six fixtures in a group that contained youth setups from Napoli, Ajax and Rangers.
