On Tuesday's "Pardon the Interruption," the discussion between hosts Michael Wilbon and Tony Kornheiser featured a "Word" segment about 77-year-old golfing great Gary Player posing nude in the 2013 edition of ESPN's "The Body Issue." The PTI team talked about Player's 1,000 sit-ups-per day workout regime and but then delved into the wrinkly side of nude septuagenarians. Kornheiser admitted that both hosts have seen enough "naked old men in country club steam rooms" to know — despite working out— it's still not a pretty sight. Wilbon claimed the tastefully shot photo spreads are usually not all nude and Player would probably be partially covered. "He'll probably have a hybrid or something blocking him out," said Wilbon before mentioning, "Some of us might need a driver." The subtle boast cracked up his co-host and announcer Tony Reali. "Wilbon, what an incredible, humble brag," joked Kornheiser about needing the larger club. Thank the sports gods that the word wood wasn't tossed around.
