Ole Miss Rebels head coach Mike Bianco doesn't need any more injuries in his pitching arsenal, but that's just what he received this weekend.

Rebels RHP JT Quinn (who had been dealing with blister issues on his throwing hand earlier this season) has suffered a strained oblique and will be out "indefinitely," although he should be able to return at some point this year.

Bianco revealed the injury news on Monday's edition of SportsTalk Mississippi, and Michael Borkey, one of the hosts of the statewide radio show, was the first to report the news.

Quinn was penciled into the Friday night starting role early this season after injuries to Hunter Elliott and Xavier Rivas, but he was later shifted to Saturday following the emergence of LHP Gunnar Dennis on the mound.

The righty saw his fair share of struggles in his appearances in the first month of the campaign, and he was eventually transitioned to the bullpen. Bianco confirmed on Sunday that Quinn had injured his back on his final pitch in the bullpen in a game against South Carolina, but at the time, the extent of the injury was not known.

Quinn is a sophomore out of Berkeley Preparatory School, and he originally hails from Tampa, Florida. He has a career ERA of 6.75 in a total of 61.1 innings in his time at Ole Miss.
