AC Milan are at work to armour their defensive department and are ready to negotiate over two renewals, according to a report.

Milan are enjoying having a centre-back trio of Simon Kjaer, Fikayo Tomori and Alessio Romagnoli to call upon given the quality and the experience that they provide, but the problem is that the Dane and the Italian are both under contract until next June.

Regarding Kjaer, Paoloi Maldini and Ricky Massara have already communicated their intentions to the player and his agent regarding the extensive  of his contract expiring next summer. Between November and December the decisive lunge is planned to secure the renewal, with a raise on the €1.2m net per season he currently earns.

There is great confidence in reaching an agreement but without haste because the 32-year-old’s will is to stay with the Rossoneri and this a determining factor.

Meanwhile, the first discussions with Raiola have started over Romagnoli’s future but at the moment there is only one possibility for him to remain at Milan: a significant reduction of the current €5m net per season salary. Now the ball passes into Alessio’s court, but a first opening has arrived from the club.
