The Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils (0-4) of the SWAC East Division visited the Jackson State University Tigers (4-0) of the SWAC East Division.

The Delta Devils were coming of a tough defeat from Delta State University Statesman of the Gulf Coast Conference of Division II. They are currently 6th in the SWAC East Division

The JSU Tigers were coming off a dominating victory against the GSU Tigers of the SWAC West Division. They are currently 1st in the SWAC East Division.

The 2021 edition had the JSU Tigers beat the MVSU Delta Devils 28-19.

DELTA DEVILS RECAP

The Offense was led by QB Jamari Jones who found WR Jacory Rankin from 25-yards away to take an early 7-0 lead. The JSU Tigers quickly found their footing and put the game out of reach with a dominate offensive performance. The final score was 49-7 in favor of the JSU Tigers.

DELTA DEVILS DEFENSE

The Defense was led by DB Kenneth Martin with eight tackles. DB Caleb Brunson had seven tackles. LB Deione Reed had five tackles. DL Ronnie Thomas had four tackles and a sack. DB Kalib Alexander had a tackle and an interception.

Although the Delta Devils have not secured a win yet this season, they will continue to fight each and every game.

The Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils (0-4) will travel to battle the Florida A&M Rattlers (2-2) on October 1, 2022 at 6:00 pm (EST)
