The Kansas City Chiefs are riding high after securing consecutive Super Bowls, and now we can add another feather to the franchise's cap —movie megastar Henry Cavill is a Chiefs fan.

While for some, the initial thought was that Cavill had only recently jumped on the Chiefs bandwagon over the last couple of seasons. But the Superman star revealed on the Rich Eisen Show that he had been a Chiefs fan since Patrick Mahomes' first season as a rookie in 2017, before he was a superstar.

“I'm a fan of the Chiefs,” Cavill said on the Rich Eisen Show. “Important to note pre-Mahomes, so I'm not one of those Brits who came over and chose the best team. Being over here and wanting to get into football, I had to pick a team and I thought what's going to be a constant in my life, what's going to be one thing which I'll always have connection to in one way or another and it was clearly Superman. I thought great, now, who would Superman support, and even though the Chiefs, I often hear this, they say, but they're not in Kansas. They kind of are, they're not, but they are, and that's who Clark [Kent] would have supported. I figured it's ideal, I'll stick with the Chiefs, and then they started winning. So yeah, I'm a big old Chiefs fan.”

So now we can add Cavill to the list of celebrities that follow the Chiefs.

The movie star isn't one of those bandwagon fans and has been with the Chiefs since before the current dominance started.

As the Chiefs look to make a historic attempt at a three-peat, Cavill will no doubt be glued into how the team is going across the year.

Still armed with a good defense and offense with Mahomes leading the charge, this is perhaps the best chance for a team to claim three consecutive Super Bowls.

With No. 15 at the helm, Kansas City will always be in with a chance at Super Bowl glory, and it looms as a difficult prospect to stop them in 2024.
