Paris Saint-Germain defender Sergio Ramos has not appeared in a match this season due to a thigh injury. The veteran talent has missed critical matches this season against the likes of Olympique Lyonnais and Club Brugge due to this notable injury.

Now, Ramos could possibly soon make his long-awaited first appearance with PSG in a match.

As noted by L’Equipe (via Le10Sport), there is growing optimism within PSG’s coaching staff that Ramos could be available for the team’s Ligue 1 fixture against Rennes on October 3.

Ramos’ injury rehab process over the coming days sure will provide for a clearer picture to the team’s coaching staff on just when he may receive the green light for in-game action.

For now, Brazilian and PSG defender Marquinhos will continue to lead the team’s backline in key matchups, such as in the upcoming UEFA Champions League group stage clash against Premier League powerhouse Manchester City.
