The Cardinals dominated the game, outshooting Boston College 13-6 and having a 3-1 advantage in shots on goal. They also held a 10-4 edge in penalty corners. With this win, Louisville improves to 13-5 for the season and finishes with a 3-3 record in ACC play.

Sophomore Jane Ramsay capitalized on a penalty corner opportunity and scored off a pass from teammate Rylie Wollerton, tying the game at 1-1 with 6:26 remaining in the fourth quarter.
Neither team was able to break the deadlock in the final minutes of regulation, leading to a 7v7 sudden-victory overtime period. In the first extra frame, Louisville had the upper hand, outshooting Boston College 3-1 and earning a 2-1 edge in penalty corners. However, neither team managed to score, and the game moved into a second overtime.
The final period saw Louisville gain an early penalty corner, but Boston College’s defense managed to thwart the first attempt. However, just two minutes later, Louisville earned another corner. Aimee Plumb’s pass from the left post found Duchars, who expertly directed a shot past Boston College goalkeeper Caroline Kelly, securing the victory for the Cardinals.
Louisville will now focus on the ACC Field Hockey Championship, which will take place from October 31 to November 3 at Virginia’s Turf Field. The bracket for the tournament will be announced later this weekend.
