Oklahoma State softball is right around the corner, and it released its 2023-2024 schedule on Monday, featuring some new contests both in non-conference and conference play.

OSU will start the season being on the road for three straight weeks, beginning in Northridge, Ca, where the Cowgirls will compete against Cal State Northridge. After that, OSU will compete in the Lynn Russell Classic Feb. 9-10 against Portland State, Utah State and UC Riverside.

On Feb. 11, Cowgirl softball will take on the UCLA Bruins in a showdown between college softball’s top teams.

The road trip will also feature stops in two different cities in Florida, including competing in the Shriners Children’s Clearwater Invitational in Clearwater, FL, an event the Cowgirls competed in last season.

OSU’s home opener will be on Feb. 27, taking on the South Dakota State Jackrabbits. The Cowgirls will stay at home later that week to take part in the Cowgirl Invitational, welcoming in Seattle University for a double-header on March 1.

The Cowgirls Big 12 opener will be March 8-10, traveling to Waco to take on the Baylor Bears. That next week, OSU will take on one of the newcomers in the Big 12 in the UCF Knights on March 15-17.

From April 19-28, Oklahoma State will be staying at home, competing against Texas Tech, North Texas and Kansas at Cowgirl Stadium in those 10 days.

Oklahoma State’s season finale will come on May 3-5 as it heads over to Norman, OK to take on the Oklahoma Sooners.

The Big 12 Championship is scheduled for May 8-11 in Oklahoma City, with NCAA Regional play beginning on May 17.

The Cowgirls finished last season posting a 47-16 record; the sixth-most wins in program history, including an appearance in the Women’s College World Series. It was the fourth straight appearance in Oklahoma City, but it ended with heartbreak as OSU suffered a 3-1 loss to the Tennessee Volunteers.
