Penn State is in the running for Bo Jackson.

No, not that Bo Jackson.

This Bo Jackson does play running back, though.

He’s a four-star, 6-foot, 205-pounder from Cleveland’s Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School.

He has Penn State in his top 12 along with Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Oregon, Rutgers, Tennessee and West Virginia.

PSU offered him in late July 2022. His most recent visit to Happy Valley came Nov. 18, the day Penn State beat Rutgers in its last regular-season home game. Since that visit, Jackson’s received offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Miami, Minnesota, Ole Miss, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas A&M.

Jackson spoke highly of his Penn State visit with 247Sports.

“Even though it was a game visit I got to spend a lot of time Coach (James) Franklin, Coach (Ja’Juan) Seider and Coach (Charles) Walker,” he said. “The fact that they found time to hang out and talk to me and my family while they have so much going on during a game day means a lot.

“The way they run the ball with multiple running backs, so plenty of opportunity,” Jackson said.

“Game-day atmosphere was amazing.”

Jackson also visited PSU in February and told 247 he’d be coming back to Penn State March 16.

He also told 247 he’d be visiting Tennessee March 23, Ohio State March 30, Georgia April 6 and Rutgers April 20.

247’s lone Crystal Ball projection, placed by Bill Kurlic of Bucknuts, has Jackson staying in Ohio and committing to Ohio State. Penn State has two running backs committed to its 2025 class, in Tiqwai Hayes and Kiandrea Barker, who are three and four-stars, respectively.
