Paris Saint-Germain wants to extend the contract of their forward Kylian Mbappé; however, the capital club does need to have Plan B in the event of a possible departure to Real Madrid when his contract expires in June.

According to Sky Sport Germany, the Ligue 1 side is joining FC Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund for Red Bull Salzburg’s Karim Adeyemi as a possible replacement for Mbappé. The report details that the player’s advisers, Thomas Solomon and his father, Abbey Adeyemi, took part in a meeting with Bayern Munich a week ago.

Furthermore, Salzburg knows that their 19-year-old forward is drawing interest from various clubs across Europe, which also includes Atlético de Madrid, Real Madrid, Inter Milan, and Liverpool, which is why their asking price is reportedly at least €40-million.

Nevertheless, the Germany international could look for a new club as early as the January transfer window.

Also, Sky Germany transfer expert Max Bielefeld adds that the clubs expressing interest in the Salzburg striker “could agree on a summer change with him in winter and possibly lend him back for half a year.”

Adeyemi has made 68 appearances with Salzburg, scoring 24 goals and registering 17 assists for the Austrian club.
