CollegeAD.com posted a report Monday morning indicating that Louisiana Tech Director of Athletics Dr. Eric Wood would soon be leaving the Bulldogs. In the report, the author indicated that Dr. Wood would be assuming a new position at Ole Miss.

Rivals reporter Chase Parham added to the report, indicating that Wood would be replacing Allen Greene as Ole Miss' Senior Deputy AD. Greene's position was Deputy AD for External Relations and Business Development.

Wood was hired at La Tech in 2020, replacing Tommy McClelland. McClelland left for a Deputy AD position at Vanderbilt, but has since been hired as the AD at Rice University.

Wood signed a five-year contract extension with LA Tech in June. This month, LA Tech's Aillet Society, the philanthropic shareholder group of Louisiana Tech Athletics, announced that Wood and his wife Celia donated $25,000 to the cause.

LA Tech has not formally announced the move as of the publish date of this article.
