West Virginia and Georgetown will face off for the first time since the 2020-21 season as the Mountaineers picked up an 80-71 win on the road. Georgetown leads the all-time series 27-26. The Hoyas finished 9-23 (2-18 Big East) last season.

No future Big 12 members Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado or Utah are included in next season’s matchup. BYU and Cincinnati are making their debuts in the conference challenge, as the Cougars travel to Providence and the Bearcats head to Villanova.

Next season will mark the last edition of the Big East-Big 12 Battle.

West Virginia currently has Robert Morris and the Battle 4 Atlantis field set up on the non-conference schedule for 2024-25. WVU will host RMU on opening night and travel down to the Bahamas to play three games between Arizona, Creighton, Davidson, Gonzaga, Indiana, Louisville and Oklahoma.

The Mountaineers are also expected to play Pitt in the Backyard Brawl next season as the series got extended.
