What an honor for Davis!

North Carolina guard RJ Davis has won the Jerry West Award, given to the best shooting guard in the country. After an incredible season that saw him win multiple awards, Davis continues to add to his accolades.

Continued Success

Davis has now won the ACC Player of the Year award, been named First-Team All-ACC and First-Team All-American, as well as leading this year’s UNC squad to a one-seed in the NCAA Tournament. He averaged 21.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 3.5 assists on the year.

The Jerry West Award is further confirmation that he was one of the best players in the entire country this season.

The other nominees were Caleb Love of Arizona, Tyson Walker of Michigan State, Antonio Reeves of Kentucky, and Kevin McCullar Jr. of Kansas.

Davis has continued to build his legacy in Chapel Hill and will have his jersey in the rafters following the season.

The Next Step

Davis has one year of eligibility remaining. He could choose to come back and play one more season, or he could go to the NBA draft. Should Davis decide to test the NBA waters, he will have the opportunity to retain eligibility if he does not receive the feedback he wants.

Davis could go down as one of the most decorated players in UNC history!
