The No. 17 Auburn Tigers picked up a 2-1 win over the South Alabama Jaguars in Montgomery tonight.

The Jaguars got on the board first, but a two-run rally in the bottom of the seventh inning secured the win for the Tigers.

What are the biggest takeaways from the game?

Auburn's pitching staff had a solid outing collectively 

A combined effort from Auburn's pitching staff got the job done.

Christian Herberholz got the start and pitched three scoreless innings and four batters out. Alex Petrovic was the only Tigers' pitcher to allow a run, but also struck out four batters in three innings of work. 

Parker Carlson earned the win, his first of the season, after throwing two scoreless innings in which he struck four batters out. Dylan Watts earned his first save of the season in one inning on the mound.

Auburn's bullpen got the job done tonight.

Auburn stranded a lot of runners

The Tigers left 10 runners on base. 

Auburn's two runs came from only five hits, but it was walked seven times. 

The Tigers will not be able to waste scoring opportunities with arguably the best team in the country coming to town this weekend.

Mason Maners had a solid game

Auburn's left fielder went 2-4 with one run and stole a base. Maners also recorded two put-outs on defense.

Auburn is now 13-6 on the season and 0-3 in conference play.

The Tigers return home to Plainsman Park this weekend to host the No. 1 Arkansas Razorbacks. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. CT on Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. CT on Sunday.
