Following the most successful season at the FBS level in Texas State history, the Bobcats are continuing preparations for the 2024 season.

Texas State announced today their schedule for spring practices, beginning on March 21. The Bobcats will have 14 practice sessions before their annual Spring Game on April 13. The spring game will technically be the third intrasquad scrimmage of the Spring for Texas State. Kickoff is set for 11 AM CT on that day.

Fans will be welcome in-person, but no streaming info has been announced. More details for the event will be announced in March.

In their first season under G.J. Kinne, Texas State compiled a record of 8-5, earning their highest win total of their 12 seasons in FBS. Kinne also led the Bobcats to their first FBS bowl win in the First Responder Bowl against Rice.

The Bobcats will be entering the season with a slightly revamped coaching staff, including two new co-defensive coordinators with Bradley Dale Peveto and Dexter McCoil. Offensive Coordinator Mack Leftwich returns for a second season, after engineering a Bobcat offense that scored an FBS-program record 477 points.

Texas State's regular season opener is set for August 31 in San Marcos when they host FCS opponent Lamar.
