Try out this tasty Tuesday teaser

Tuesday features four college bowl games, and we like two in a tasty teaser following your Christmas weekend. It's kind of like the leftovers still in your fridge — bring a little heat, and they're still good to eat.

Our first leg features Grayson McCall and the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers against the East Carolina Pirates in the Birmingham Bowl. Tuesday is officially McCall’s last game as a Chanticleer as the three-time Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year announced he was entering the transfer portal. In addition, CCU head coach Jamey Chadwell is now the head coach of Liberty. Even with McCall and Chadwell available for the Sun Belt title game against Troy back on Dec. 3, the Chanticleers lost by 19. That’s why East Carolina by just a point, courtesy of the teaser, is a no-brainer. ECU might not be as good as Troy, but with the teaser lowering the spread to just one, going with the Pirates is the best play.

As for the last leg of our teaser, take the under of 51 points, thanks to the teaser, between Wisconsin and Oklahoma State in the Guaranteed Rate Bowl. Head coach Luke Fickell left Cincinnati for Wisconsin earlier this month, but don't expect the Badgers offense to all of a sudden explode just because of Fickell's arrival.

Wisconsin struggled to get to six wins this year, and the Badgers offense was the main reason why. Wisconsin scored 23 or fewer points in more than half of its games, and don't expect that to change on Tuesday against Oklahoma State. On the flip side, the Badgers defense allowed 17 points or fewer in half of their games, and that wasn't just luck. The Badgers defense is legit.

Meanwhile, Oklahoma State has been awful after starting the season 6-1, and the offense is mostly to blame. The Cowboys have scored 20 points or fewer in five straight games, and that probably won't change come Tuesday. And of all the bowl games, this game might feature the most roster turnover — injuries, opt-outs, the transfer portal, etc. — of them all.

The Teaser: East Carolina (-7) to (-1) AND Wisconsin/Oklahoma State (under 45 points) to (under 51 points) (-102 odds via Barstool)

In the news ...

Broncos fire Hackett following blowout loss to RamsNathaniel Hackett failed to make it a full season as Denver's head coach. The Broncos fired the first-year head coach on Monday following Sunday's 51-14 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Hackett is now the third NFL head coach to be fired this season following a 4-11 record in 15 games as the Broncos head coach.

Tua back in concussion protocol — Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is in concussion protocol for the second time this season after displaying concussion-like symptoms on Monday. The Dolphins opened as 2.5-point favorites against New England, but since Tagovailoa entered concussion protocol, Miami has dropped to 2.5-point underdogs.

Liverpool acquires Gakpo from PSV — Liverpool beat out Manchester United in the race to sign Netherlands' Cody Gakpo after agreeing to a deal with PSV on Monday. The deal is reportedly worth approximately £40 million, which would be a "record transfer" for PSV.
