The USC basketball team is taking on UCLA basketball for the second time on Saturday. The Trojans already met up earlier this season, and UCLA got the win. The two teams met at the end of January, and USC lost the game 65-50. It wasn’t very close, and it was a home game for the Trojans. Saturday’s matchup will be on the road.

This season is essentially over for USC basketball. They are 10-16 overall on the year and 4-11 in Pac-12 conference play. The Trojans are in second-to-last place in the conference. Unless they have a magical run in the Pac-12 Tournament to win the whole thing, they will not make the tournament.

UCLA basketball also started this season very poorly, but they recently won six games in a row and turned their season around. They still have a lot to play for, and they want to get a sweep over rival USC.

“It would be dope, like the way that it felt to win for the first time at the Galen Center,” UCLA’s Dylan Andrews said, according to an article from Sports Illustrated. “To go 2-0 against SC, that’s our rivals, that would be an accomplishment for us.”

USC and UCLA will tip off at 7:00 PT on Saturday night from Pauley Pavilion. We’ll see if the Trojans can split the season series, or if the Bruins will get the brooms out.
