University of Louisville cross country freshman Rhune Vanroose is making waves in the running world as she prepares to compete at the U20 European Cross Country Championships in Brussels, Belgium. The race will be held at Laeken Park and is scheduled to begin at 12:00 p.m. ET on Sunday.

Vanroose punched her ticket to the European Championships after a strong performance at the Belgian Cross Country Championships on November 19, where she finished in third place in the women’s junior race. This achievement has set the stage for a promising showing at the international level.

Hailing from Buggenhout, Belgium, Vanroose made her mark during the fall cross country season for the University of Louisville Cardinals. She competed in three meets and showcased her talent by recording a personal-best time of 21:06.2 in the 6K race at the Arturo Barrios Invitational.
