Veer‘s time in WWE has come to an end.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reports that Veer has been released by WWE. This comes amid a round of cuts, as Xia Li, Xyon Quinn, and others were also released.

Veer (Rinku Singh) is a former baseball player, as he was signed by the Pittsburgh Pirates after he won a pitching contest on The Million Dollar Arm . He signed a developmental deal with WWE in January. He was initially paired with Saurav Gurjar and Malcolm Bivens. After he was repackaged, he had a singles run on RAW as Veer Mahaan. Veer later returned to NXT and reunited with Gurjar, who had been renamed Sanga. They joined forces with Jinder Mahal and moved to WWE RAW.

In his last WWE match, Veer was a competitor in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on the April 5 episode of WWE SmackDown.
