PGA Tour player Wesley Bryan stripped to his underwear to take a shot at the Honda Classic, only to record a double bogey and be left with dirty feet.

It’s every golfer’s worst nightmare to end up taking a shot in circumstances as grim as this, with it being nigh on impossible to achieve anything beyond getting it out of the mud and onto smoother turf.

Things took another turn for the worse for Wesley Bryan, who not only found himself in trouble as a result of the unfavourable ball position and the shots he’d dropped prior, but also found himself exposed to the viewing audience – having decided to take his kit off on the course.

Rather than risk his shoes, socks and trousers get muddy as he took his shot next to the water, the world number 426 decided to take them all of and instead take the shot in his boxer shorts. It’s unusual, but he was probably thankful he’d done it…
