The Legends Football League, formerly the Lingerie Football League, announced during it’s “State of the Franchise” address, that the Washington D.C./Northern Virginia area will receive a franchise, starting in April 2016. The team formerly known as the Baltimore Charm will shut down operations ahead of the 2015 season, set to start this spring and relocate to the D.C. Area in time for the 2016 season. The Charm made an announcement to its fans via Facebook.

The LFL had already awarded the team to Washington, which will be named the Warriorettes back in June of last year, as the league mocked the Redskins is a campaign to announce the team’s name. But no more details were released at that time other than the team was planning to begin this April. However in Tuesday’s official statement, it was announced the Baltimore team would move to D.C. for 2016.

The LFL will also re-establish a once defunct franchise the Dallas Desire along with an expansion team in New England. Former Washington Redskins’ legend Gary Clark will stay on as the team’s head coach following the relocation.

If you’re interested in playing for the Warriorettes, tryouts will be held in June, per the league’s announcement.
