Jadon Sancho moved from Borussia Dortmund to Manchester United in a £73 million transfer, cementing his eagerly awaited return to English football.

The England winger underwent a medical at United after his participation at Euro 2020 to become Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s second summer signing after Tom Heaton.

Every man and his dog knew the deal was agreed and pretty much set in stone on July 1, but the player had his focus on the Euros. There was also a delay with paperwork but thankfully the deal is now over the line.

But no more sleepless nights over when Sancho will be announced as a United player. It’s done and dusted with fans asking for a new centre-back on top of the recent purchase.

Sky Sports suggest there is ‘quiet confidence’ surrounding the deal.

United also revealed that Sancho will wear #25 next season, which was last worn by Odion Ighalo. He will aim to replicate and build on the form he showed in the Bundesliga – scoring an impressive 50 goals in 137 appearances.
